Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods seeks a Maintenance Technician for our distribution center in New York. You will maintain and repair facility equipment, conveyor systems, and PLC controls to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The shift is 2B: Tue–Fri 5:30p–3:30a, with a base rate of $29.55/hr plus a $1/hr shift differential. Requirements include an associate degree or 2-year technical certificate, 3–5 years’ experience, welding/brazing, hydraulics/pneumatics, gear boxes, and ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage).
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness and LOTO experience.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and LOTO requirements.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems.
• Report spare parts inventory and usage to leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
• Perform other duties to support DC operations.
