Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our distribution center in New York. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment and conveyance systems.

You will document PM work, manage spare parts, and train junior technicians to enhance performance. The position requires an Associate’s degree or technical certificate and 3–5 years of related experience, with safety and LOTO proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent; technical training in mechanical or electrical fields preferred.
• 2-year vocational/technical certificate or degree in mechanical or electrical applications preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in maintenance of DC equipment.
• Welding, burning, and cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage) and related equipment.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Good safety awareness and compliance.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push/pull and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards, LOTO, and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; document work per PM standards.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to leadership.
• Train junior technicians to improve performance during troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Collaborate with external vendors to complete DC projects safely and on time.
• Take on additional duties to support DC operations as needed.
