Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our distribution center in New York state. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment, following safety procedures, and supporting continuous DC operations.

The position requires 2–5 years of maintenance experience and familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, and conveyors. Shift 2B runs Tuesday through Friday from 5:30p to 3:30a with a $1/hr shift differential.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in mechanical or electrical field.
2-year vocational technical certificate or degree preferred.
3–5 years of experience in maintenance or related role.
Welding, burning, cutting.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
Good safety awareness.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

Adhere to OSHA safety standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment, focusing on conveyors, PLCs, and drive systems.
Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
Train junior technicians to elevate performance while troubleshooting assets.
Collaborate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely at the DCs.
Take on other duties as needed to support DC operations.
