Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our McCook, NE manufacturing team. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to keep operations safe and efficient.

Candidates will be placed at an appropriate level based on experience and skills. Full-time hours are Monday–Thursday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Strong safety, quality, and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Install new equipment and perform major repairs and replacements.
• Diagnose equipment issues using testing and measurement tools.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to guide work.
• Coordinate maintenance with production and support departments.
• Support facility maintenance, including buildings and grounds.
