Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of plant equipment.

You will help ensure equipment reliability, safe operations, and minimal downtime through preventative maintenance across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing, testing, wiring, fabricating parts, and documenting work while adhering to safety policies and LOTO requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems and circuits.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and LOTO procedures.
• Basic shop math and ability to use maintenance tools and test equipment.
• Ability to obtain forklift and crane certifications through company training.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift/move equipment and wear PPE in indoor/outdoor settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Diagnose, test, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble production equipment and components.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Repair or fabricate parts using welding, cutting, brazing and related methods.
• Document labor, materials, and parts used for maintenance activities.
• Safely operate test equipment and maintenance tools.
• Respond to occasional emergency call-ins or irregular-hour maintenance needs.
