Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the West Point, NE facility to support preventive maintenance and repairs across plant equipment and systems. The role offers development in electrical, mechanical and metal fabrication tasks with on-the-job training and safety emphasis.

You will learn plant equipment, read blueprints, and assist with tests, inspections, and repairs while maintaining logs and coordinating with maintenance and production teams.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Communicate problems or needs to supervision and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing, inspecting, repairing and re-assembling basic plant equipment and systems.
• Support with electrical work and basic fabrication under supervision.
• Learn and operate plant equipment including cranes, gear boxes, pumps, and power transmission components.
• Maintain records of labor and materials on repairs and use of materials.
