Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a maintenance mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment across the facility. You will service dryers, chillers, HVAC, pumps, conveyors, mills, and related system components to support daily production and safety standards.

The role requires inspection, parts replacement, electrical tasks, and documentation, with a 1st shift schedule and a bonus opportunity based on performance.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor or technical training is preferred for electrical and welding tasks.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.
• Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently.
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Order and install replacement parts for machines.
• Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
• Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted.
• Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer, etc.
• Maintain documentation as required.
• Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training.
