Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Maintenance position to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support production goals. Responsibilities include servicing dryers, chillers, HVAC, pumps, conveyors, mixers, mills, and other heavy machinery while ensuring a safe, clean, and productive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Preferred: at least two (2) years of mechanic experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Preferred: industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license.
• Preferred: maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts; experience with PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.
• Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently.
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Order and install replacement parts for machines.
• Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
• Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted.
• Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer, etc.
• Maintain documentation as required.
• Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training.
