Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in our manufacturing environment, covering dryers, chillers, HVAC, conveyors, pumps, mixers, tanks, and related systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repair machines, identify causes of breakdowns, record parts, order replacements, assist in electrical and pipe-fitting tasks, and maintain building systems; schedule includes 3rd shift with

Qualifications

Must have at least 1 year of mechanic experience in manufacturing/distribution.
Preferred 2+ years of experience in a similar environment.
Industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.
Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently.
Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Order and install replacement parts for machines.
Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted.
Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer.
Maintain documentation as required.
Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
Maintain technical knowledge through training.
