Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support production by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex production and facility equipment. This role involves maintaining safe and clean work areas and coordinating with managers for scheduled maintenance.

Minimum requirements include 1 year as a mechanic in manufacturing or distribution and legal work eligibility in the United States.

Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen years old.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
At least 1 year as a mechanic in manufacturing or distribution.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.
Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Order and install replacement parts for machines.
Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installations.
Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer.
Maintain documentation as required.
Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and maintain shop areas, tools, and supplies.
Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
Maintain technical knowledge through training.
