POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM - 2:30PM) Maintenance Mechanic II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of mechanical machinery, including the design and manufacturing of certain machine components.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE

$29.93/hr. - $35/hr. plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Inspect, test, adjust, maintain, and repair all physical plant machinery, perform preventive machine maintenance, and complete necessary maintenance documentation
2. Interface with other departments to ensure timely completion of repairs and routine maintenance
3. Help monitor the equipment, safety, and overall operation of the department
4. Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them
5. Ensure that necessary machine parts are available by checking inventory stock levels

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Solid math skills
• Experience using a personal computer
• Proven maintenance experience, familiarity using power tools including saws, grinders, mills
• Skill in the care and use of the tools and equipment used in the trades involved
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, devices to remove/replace defective parts
• Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved

WHAT WE PREFER

• 1+ years' experience in machine maintenance work or in a related trade
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
