- Demonstrates commitment to quality and performs job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements of all equipment
- Troubleshoots any issues of mechanical devices, corrects issues as necessary to maintain productivity/quality standards
- Controls downtime by communicating with all departments
- Assists in the setup and tear down of production lines
- Performs electrical repairs
- Actively involved in Continuous Improvement programs
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts, fabricate parts when needed, adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Maintains equipment, parts and supplies inventories; conserves resources when able
- Identifies proper preventative maintenance schedules
- Prepares maintenance reports, documents and communicates actions, irregularities and continuing needs
- Works in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, and complies with company safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Education & Experience
- Experience with Automation Industrial Equipment; Belt Conveyors, Roller Conveyors, Carton Sealers.
- Basic Electrical Knowledge Low Voltage-120VAC
- Preferred experience Hands-on Texwrap Plastic Sealer Machine
- Preferred experience Hands-on Videojet Ink Coder
- Preferred experience Hands-on Microjet-I and II Ink Code
- Carton, High Speed packaging equipment

- Ability to read, comprehend and, where necessary, complete: a blue print, an electrical schematic, operating and maintenance manuals, a work order, repair parts request, standard and metric tape measure
- Mechanical and Electrical Skills
- Electrical Knowledge High Voltage (208/480V 3 PH) a Plus
- Adapt to work under pressure
- Adapt to fast change over
- Ability to work OT when required is a MUST
- Adapt to schedule changes
- Must be able to work weekends and extended hours when necessary
- PLC Knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Technically competent with reading electrical and mechanical drawings

- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, walk for prolonged periods
- Must be able to use hands, fingers, and arms in a continuous manner
- Must be able to frequently lift 50-75 lbs.
