Job summary

Rich Products Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to oversee efficient operation of plant equipment, performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic repairs and preventive maintenance. The role supports production by training associates and ensuring GMP and safety compliance.

With 3–5 years in food processing and strong PLC/SCADA knowledge, you’ll diagnose failures, tune equipment, and work within a self-directed team to improve processes and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in food processing with troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to train other Associates in Maintenance operations.
• Desire to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work team.
• Proficiency on Rich’s SCADA system.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and logic principles.
• Basic plumbing, metalworking and facilities/building maintenance knowledge.
• Awareness of GMP and Food Safety guidelines.
• Willingness to work with production and assist operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses maintenance failures.
• Tunes equipment using drawings, P&ID’s, manuals; applies electrical (VFDs, SCRs, motor starters) and PLC/logic principles to solve problems.
• Uses basic plumbing, metalworking and facilities maintenance knowledge as needed.
• Operates Rich’s SCADA system and completes paperwork.
• Trains new Associates on required maintenance skill sets.
• Maintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion per GMP and Safety guidelines.
• Supports production and assists operations as needed with maintenance tasks.
• Performs other related duties assigned by Team Leader.
