Job summary

Rich Products Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift in Crest Hill, IL. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance of plant equipment.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in food processing, strong communication skills, and the ability to train others, with proficiency in Rich’s SCADA system. Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, using drawings and manuals, and maintaining a safe GMP-compliant work area.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in food processing with production equipment knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to train other Associates in Maintenance operations.
• Willingness to work in a Self-Directed team environment.
• Proficiency with Rich’s SCADA system and control concepts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses maintenance failures.
• Uses drawings and manuals to tune equipment; applies electrical and PLC knowledge.
• Performs basic plumbing, metalworking and facilities maintenance as needed.
• Works with sensors and instruments (RTD, pressure transmitters, etc.).
• Trains new Associates on required maintenance skills.
• Maintains a safe, GMP-compliant work area.
• Operates Rich’s SCADA system and completes paperwork.
• Performs related duties as assigned by Team Leader.
• Assists operations and trains associates in basic troubleshooting.
