Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, NJ seeks an experienced electrician with a listed secondary skill (carpenter, pipe fitter, HVAC mechanic, maintenance welder or machine repairer) to join our facilities team. You will install, repair, maintain, and fabricate plant equipment, read blueprints, and work from drawings to keep operations running safely.

Candidates must pass a company physical and drug test, provide required hand tools, and be able to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have a primary and secondary skill, primary must be electrician and secondary either carpenter, pipe fitter, HVAC mechanic, maintenance welder or machine repairer.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment and rigging equipment.
• Apprenticeship papers, Journeymen’s card or 5 years or more of equivalent work experience in the Electrical discipline is required.
• A working knowledge of machine tools and welding is a plus.
• The candidate must supply all customary hand tools of the trade.
• New employees must pass the company physical and drug test.
• Must be able to obtain / maintain a government security clearance.
• Must regularly demonstrate the ability to lift a nominal weight, climb ladders, utilize elevated working platforms and bending while servicing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, maintains and fabricates, as required, plant facilities and equipment and performs other general maintenance and service functions.
• Duties include, but are not limited to mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance, welding, pipefitting, HVAC, carpentry work and painting.
• Performs periodic inspections and tests and reports findings. Receives general instructions from supervisors and notice of service required from supervisors and other plant personnel.
• Works from blueprints, sketches and/or oral instructions and specifications.
• Uses all hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for completion of assignments. May direct other employees assigned to the job.
