Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an adept technician to perform a variety of duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical areas. You will work from schematics and drawings, calibrate and test equipment, diagnose issues, and maintain systems, with a focus on safety and quality.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic STEM understanding, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and hands-on wiring experience (soldering, crimping).

Standard Job Description

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.

Desired Skills
  • Ability to engage, communicate, and interact with engineers, leadership/management, and program customers, especially through the presentation of ideas and negotiation of priorities.
  • Logical and analytical thinking skills with the ability to visualize and discuss optimal fabrication approach to build or modify mechanical/electronic/electromechanical assemblies.
  • Experience fabricating avionics electrical cable harnesses, chassis, assemblies, and/or system equipment racks in a quality controlled environment, with knowledge of relevant standards.
  • Experience generating, modifying, and providing feedback for engineering drawings with a focus on design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $50300.00 - $93300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
