Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a maintenance mechanic to support its manufacturing team in Hartford, CT. The role covers installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment, including HVAC, conveyors, pumps and other plant machinery.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairing machines, ordering parts, and coordinating with managers to schedule regular upkeep.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• At least 1 year of maintenance/mechanic experience in manufacturing or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on equipment.
• Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns.
• Record damaged or worn parts and report.
• Order and install replacement parts for machines.
• Assist electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
• Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted.
• Maintain building equipment including HVAC and lighting.
• Maintain shop areas, inventory and tools.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training.
