Job summary

Carris Reels Group in Enfield, CT is seeking an Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic to support maintenance and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems on production machinery. This full-time role offers first-shift hours and an opportunity to learn hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance skills.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently once trained.
• Overtime may be required; must be available to work Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems.
• Assist in preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues under supervision.
• Support minor electrical and plumbing repairs (e.g., replacing fuses, bulbs, or fixtures).
• Help install, adjust, and maintain machinery components as needed.
• Lubricate, clean, and service machines, tools, and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Maintain housekeeping and organization of the maintenance work area.
• Assist experienced maintenance staff with larger repair or installation projects.
• Follow all company safety and maintenance procedures.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Management.

Job Details: Job Location: Enfield, CT 06082, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $22.00, Job Shift: 1st Shift, The Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting maintenance and repair activities within a manufacturing facility. This position involves assisting in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems on production machinery, equipment, and building facilities. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-oriented, and motivated to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
