Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Maintenance- Master Technician in Massillon, OH, to perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant facility and equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. The role requires adherence to safety rules and PPE usage, with access to various tools and manuals for diagnostics and repairs.

The position includes working with high- and low-voltage systems, PLC troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance projects.

Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
Must have at least two (2) years of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic experience and 1 (one) of the following certificates: Industrial Maintenance Technician Certificate, Electrical & Controls Technician Certificate, Mechanical Technician Certificate; or must have at least six (6) years of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic experience if no certification listed is held

Responsibilities

Comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) rules, regulations, and requirements.
Adhere to safety rules including site and Company safety rules.
Utilizes various hand and power tools to maintain and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
Independently troubleshoot high voltage and low voltage electrical components using megger, voltmeter, AMP clamp to troubleshoot components such as contactors, relays, etc.
Troubleshoot PLCs and correlate drawings/schematics for programmable logic controllers to devices in the field
Determine root causes for breakdowns or malfunctions and methods to correct
Read pneumatic drawings and symbols and correlate prints to devices in the field
Navigate OEM manuals to diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs per manufacturer guidelines
Use precision measuring devices such as dial calipers for parts research and fabrication
Replace equipment components such as pumps, valves, pipes, hoses, belts, bearings, conveyors, electrical items
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and maintenance projects on plant equipment
Maintain spare parts and supplies in proper storage locations; obtain parts as assigned
Keep work and shop areas clean and orderly; keep tools in good repair
Perform non-technical / general facility maintenance
Provide preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling and filling systems
