Wonderful Citrus in Delano, CA, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements on automated equipment in our food processing facility. The role emphasizes safety, food quality, and machine efficiency.

You will install wiring for new machines, diagnose malfunctions, replace faulty components, and work a rotating 4x10 schedule. Strong reading, math, and communication skills are needed to support production targets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical degree and three years or more of related experience preferred (or equivalent combination).
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business items.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring, conduit, and electrical components for new equipment and robots.
• Connect power supplies and cables between machines and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning transformers, motors, lighting, and replace damaged wires.
• Test machinery and discuss malfunctions with maintenance team.
• Replace faulty electrical components and set up sensing devices.
• Plan wiring layout and install electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Diagnose and replace mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
