Job summary
Wonderful Citrus is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Mechanic to support preventative and corrective maintenance on packaging equipment (Baggers, Printers, CSMAs, Weighers, and Box Formers) at our Delano, CA facility. This role is designed for growth and learning within a fast-paced production environment.
You will perform uptime/downtime inspections, assist with troubleshooting, and collaborate with operators to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical degree and 3+ years in manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and present business items to groups.
- Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts; emergency call-out possible.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety compliance (LOTO, fall protection, hot work).
- Operate Baggers, Printers, CSMAs, Weighers and Box Formers.
- Perform regular maintenance to ensure performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with Operators to maximize efficiency.
- Assist training for operators and teammates.
- Dismantle/reassemble machinery; document work in CMMS.
- Escalate issues to lead/supervisor.
- Assist with repairs and improvements; clear Bin Jams.
- Minor rebuilds like bearings, shafts, sprockets replacements.
