Position Overview:

• Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairs of machinery, equipment, structures, and electrical systems.

Shift:

• Hours vary, typically between 2:30am and 8:00am, Monday-Friday.

Rate:

• $31.58/hr to start plus 7% night shift differential. This is the anticipated pay range.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform installations and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, including electrical and plumbing systems.
• Maintain equipment in safe, good repair.
• Handle tools and protective gear properly.
• Perform light welding, grinding, and cutting.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Develop preventative maintenance procedures.
• Work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Work extra shifts as needed for coverage.

General:

• Adhere to safety policies.
• Complete duties with minimal supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical skills and experience.
• Experience with welding, electrical, boilers, refrigeration, machinery repair, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Effective communication skills.
• Self-motivated and efficient in a fast-paced setting.

SQF Responsibilities:

• Support food safety and quality.
• Report safety issues.
• Monitor incoming services.
• Document tasks properly.
• Complete preventive maintenance and work orders.
• Back up other mechanics.
