Job summary

Washington State University is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 3 to plan and perform routine and emergency maintenance in Student Affairs-operated dining facilities in Pullman, WA. You will lead maintenance staff and ensure safe, reliable operations of facilities and systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or trade apprenticeship with journey-level experience, a valid driver's license, and a background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work; or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade and one year of journey-level experience.
• Must have or obtain by time of hire a valid driver’s license and meet driving standards.
• Preferred: experience with pumps, motors and electrical; building control systems; maintenance of weight and cardio equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and systems.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to maintenance staff involved in dining facilities maintenance.
• Help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations.
