Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Hammond, IN to diagnose and fix mechanical issues across production lines. You will repair, maintain and optimize pumps, conveyors, hydraulics and related systems, following blueprints and service manuals.

The role requires reading schematics and a willingness to work overtime. Qualified candidates bring 3+ years of maintenance experience and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of machine maintenance experience.
• Be able to repair high speed manufacturing equipment such as pumps and conveyors.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Be willing to work OT.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and solve mechanical problems as they arise.
• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as production machines, conveyors, hydraulics, power transmissions and all mechanical equipment.
• Visually inspect and perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Follow blueprints, diagrams and service manuals to repair parts, realign and adjust components, and dismantle machines to access problem areas.
• Work on air and hydraulic pipes by measuring, cutting, threading and installing new pipe.
