Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III - 2nd Shift in South Bend, Indiana to support production equipment and utility systems. The role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical components and collaborating with the operations team to minimize downtime.

Under supervision, you will read blueprints, operate a CMMS, and perform preventive maintenance and root cause analyses.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of plant maintenance experience.
• Troubleshoot PLC/Solid State control instruments.
• Proficient in the use of test equipment such as multimeters.
• Read and interpret instrument drawings and control schematics.
• Able to work overtime daily and on weekends; shift flexibility.
• Work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Respond to support calls on production/process equipment and utility breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical service calls including motor starters, sensors, and drives.
• Assist operators and other mechanics with PMs and change-overs; complete work orders.
• Operate CMMS to locate parts and close PMs.
• Perform root cause failure analysis on failed components.
• Read blueprints and technical documents to locate part numbers and repairs.
