Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Kansas City, KS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our facilities team. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on base building and critical system equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operations.

This position operates under the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE Local 710). You will install and repair plumbing systems, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, replace bearings and seals, and carry out general maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state equivalent.
• Technical expertise in building/industrial maintenance and troubleshooting.
• High wrench time capability to complete daily/weekly tasks.
• CFC or EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
• Experience in HVAC/refrigeration trade or related field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to walk stairs for inspections and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on base building and critical system equipment (generators, fans, boilers, water heaters, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, motors, dock equipment).
• Install/repair plumbing; install/rebuild pumps, motors, heat exchangers.
• Replace bearings and seals on pumps, valves, filters, and hot water systems.
• Complete general maintenance tasks (painting, welding, drain snaking, carpentry).
• Maintain tools and order supplies; document repairs; close work orders; track time.
• Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor/Manager in a timely manner.
