Job Description

1. Assist all production team members to maintain maximum efficiency in machine operation, makeready, and minimizing lost time to meet plant objectives.
2. Perform mechanical maintenance and repair of all equipment in both plants.
3. Capable of repairing and maintaining plant equipment, including strapping equipment, skid wrappers, digital and conventional printing equipment, web-fed presses, die cutters, embossing equipment, conveyor systems, air compressors, etc.
4. Perform preventative maintenance according to assigned areas.
5. Complete assigned projects accurately and promptly, without neglecting other duties.
6. Skilled in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining both simple and complex equipment and machinery.
7. Perform maintenance on equipment and buildings as required.
8. Prepare and install ancillary equipment as needed.
9. Communicate all relevant information effectively from person to person and shift to shift.
10. Repair, make, and/or assemble small parts for inventory storage or maintenance projects.
11. Cooperate with other areas to contribute to overall plant efficiency.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with bearings, electric motors, chain drives, gearboxes, shafts, couplings, and clutches.
• Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift), hoist, crane, and scissors and boom lifts.

• Ability to repair or fabricate parts using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, gear shapers, welders, or other machine shop equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and wiring schematics.

Climate Controlled Environment

The pay range for this role at the specified location is $24.15 - $38.00/hour. The actual rate may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. The total compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, call-in, and standby pay.
