Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver license
• High School diploma or higher
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to operate a computer/laptop

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of tools and materials used in construction trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating, etc.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Maintain maintenance records for operations equipment
• Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with students, faculty, and staff
• Deliver mail and supplies to faculty/staff as required
• Escort outside contractors or utility personnel within campus
• Assist in scheduling and performing preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues with operations staff
• Set up and dismantle scaffolding/ladders up to 40 feet
• Understand minor repairs of the Best locks/keyways system
• Clean work areas and return tools/equipment at day's end
• Work flexibly outside scope of job to meet operational needs
• Work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Wear a clean maintenance uniform daily
• Work independently without supervision
• Obtain final approval for vacation requests from the Director of Operations
• Understand operation procedures for a Notified Fire Alarm System
• Be available for emergencies 24/7, except during vacation
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, shovel snow, and operate snow blowers.
