U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated building maintenance services company, is currently accepting resumes for the position of HVAC Mechanic at its Philadelphia, PA location.

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, energy management systems, and related equipment.

Duties include:

• Observing and interpreting readings from gauges, meters, and charts.
• Adjusting controls to ensure safe and efficient system operation.
• Recording system operation data in logs.
• Maintaining engines, machinery, and equipment.
• Performing routine and preventive maintenance.
• Operating building automation systems and monitoring water treatment systems.
• Conducting equipment/system inspections and adjustments.
• Maintaining maintenance records.
• Performing moderate mechanical repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and maintenance on heating, cooling, and ventilating components.
• Handle piping systems, motors, controllers, pneumatic systems, and refrigeration.
• Maintain air handlers and other mechanical equipment.
• Operate and repair mechanical systems including air handlers, exhaust fans, valves, controls, and heating/cooling units.
• Respond to emergencies such as floods and power outages.

Additional duties may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of maintenance experience, plus 2 years in a boiler room with boilers and chillers (preferably in a large commercial facility).
• Ability to operate building automation systems.
• Current license as a Stationary Engineer, First Grade.
• Refrigeration certification.
• Own basic hand tools and test equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
• Fluent in English (reading and speaking).
• Valid driver’s license.
