Position Overview and Responsibilities

Alutiiq Logistics and Maintenance Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on equipment under supervision. The role does not include standing an Engineer's watch. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, HVAC experience, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

1. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct inspections, perform scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
2. Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues, repair or replace parts, test equipment post-repair.
3. Installation and Upgrades: Assist with machinery installation and system upgrades.
4. Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate maintenance records and report issues.
5. Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
6. HVAC Systems: Install, service, and repair environmental-control systems, including refrigerant handling, ductwork, and controls.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance and repair experience, including HVAC.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills, proficiency with tools and diagnostics.
• Ability to interpret manuals, blueprints, schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license; TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
