What does a Production Maintenance Mechanic do at Swire Coca-Cola? In the production plant, the Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of general facility maintenance tasks. The environment operates 24/7, so the technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, disassembling, and troubleshooting complex equipment involved in production processes. The machinery includes high-speed automated production equipment and other manufacturing tools.

Responsibilities:

• Support production lines by troubleshooting failures and resolving issues to maximize efficiency
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks via SAP
• Participate in rebuilds and overhauls of production and support equipment
• Assist with parts management, ensuring parts are checked out properly and reporting deficiencies
• Communicate effectively with maintenance staff through end-of-shift reports
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in routines with production operators and addressing downtime causes
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental policies and practices
• Operate SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System proficiently
• Clean tools, parts, and equipment after repairs and maintenance
• Install new equipment and support training and lean supply chain initiatives
• Operate and monitor equipment, replenish materials as needed, and conduct quality reviews to ensure safety and performance standards

Requirements:

• Trade School certification preferred
• 2+ years of maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems
• Quick learner of new software and interfaces; strong computer skills
• Ability to work independently, meet goals and deadlines
• Skills in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, fabrication, security systems
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
