Job description

Our client, a global steel manufacturer, has several openings for experienced Maintenance Mechanic, based in Portage, Indiana.

Our candidate of choice will have advanced industrial mechanical skills and the ability to work a rotating shift. We offer great benefits and tremendous room for growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain mechanical systems as required
2. Troubleshoot machines and mechanical equipment
3. Troubleshoot hydraulics and pneumatics
4. Assist in capital projects and installations
5. Ability to read blueprints
6. Advanced hydraulic experience highly preferred
7. Burning
8. Welding
9. Bearing
10. Combustion

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. At least 3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
2. Experience with welding
3. Experience working in heavy industry
4. Experience with conveyors and automated machinery
5. Ability to work 12 hour shifts rotating from days to nights week to week.
