An excellent career opportunity is available for a Maintenance Mechanic - Level 2 at UOP's Research and Pilot Plant facility in Des Plaines, IL.

Job responsibilities include:

• Repair and service of pumps, compressors, seals, packing, and bearings to support R&D Pilot Plant and laboratory facilities.
• Working with all types of hand tools to troubleshoot, repair, perform preventative maintenance, and modify equipment.
• Completing all work safely, following Honeywell’s safety protocols.

While based out of Des Plaines, IL, the role may require support at our McCook facility.

The annual salary range is provided as a guideline; actual compensation depends on experience, skills, and market considerations.

Minimum requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, seals, packing, and bearings.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, work on elevated platforms, climb ladders and portable lifts.

Preferred qualifications:

• Mechanical, welding, and pipefitting experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work occasionally at the McCook facility.
