Description

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic I within our Maintenance Department. This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance duties to ensure that the building and equipment are operating safely and properly. The role also includes security duties to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

Essential Functions:

• Performs hourly tours of boiler room and hospital areas, checks in with staff, and completes security reports.
• Logs readings and completes work orders as required.
• Operates shop equipment and performs operational checks on boilers.
• Performs groundskeeping tasks like snow removal and grass cutting.
• Maintains building equipment, cleans sewers, grease traps, and drains.
• Handles trash and handles repairs across departments.
• Inspects for leaks and replaces burnt-out bulbs.
• Maintains fire safety equipment and responds to fire alarms.
• Reports accidents and injuries, and handles misconduct calls.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to tolerate unpleasant sights and odors.
