Maintenance Mechanic

A manufacturing facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI is hiring experienced Maintenance Mechanics for immediate, direct hire openings on both 2nd and 3rd shifts. This role focuses on keeping production equipment—especially plastic extrusion and blow molding machinery—operating at peak performance.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment according to established intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).

• Perform routine inspections to identify and resolve issues before they impact productivity.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on blow molding and auxiliary machinery.

• Support production by starting up and shutting down equipment safely and efficiently.

• Assist with equipment changeovers, ensuring downstream systems are properly adjusted.

• Use tools such as micrometers, volt/ohm meters, and standard mechanical instruments during repairs and maintenance.

Requirements of the Maintenance Mechanic

• Previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance role is required.

• Hands-on knowledge of plastic extrusion and blow molding processes is strongly .

• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

• Comfortable using diagnostic equipment and standard shop tools.

• Ability to read and follow technical diagrams and machine schematics.

2nd and 3rd shift available, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $32.00 - $37.00 an hour, based on experience
