Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm, M-F) with Sign-on Bonus! (Chittenango, NY)

Position is eligible for a $1,000.00 sign-on bonus, a 5% bonus plan, pay ranging from $25 to $35 per hour, and a $2.00 second shift differential.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic performs duties related to installing and troubleshooting plant production equipment. This is a second-shift position working Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Major Responsibilities

1. Order and maintain supplies to support all maintenance functions.
2. Provide basic maintenance support for startup operations, such as lights, dust collectors, air filtration systems, etc.
3. Monitor machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
4. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
5. Design, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair or replace electronic control systems for production machinery and automated equipment gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
6. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machine-level control systems utilizing programmable logic controllers.
7. Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
8. Adhere to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience as a forklift driver is preferred.
