Maintenance Mechanic – Milwaukee, WI:

Shift hours: Currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift, but needs to be open to working off-shifts when needed.

• 2nd shift 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM
• 3rd shift 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Plant operation is 24/7

Pay: $35.74-39.27 per hour

What your day will look like:

• Creating high-quality foods consumed nationwide
• Utilizing industry-leading technology
• Working with experienced operators eager to pass on knowledge
• Challenging yourself to complete tasks accurately and develop new skills
• Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing machinery and equipment
• Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Providing technical support and modifications
• Performing welding and fabrication
• Maintaining utilities and plumbing
• Electrical system maintenance
• Electronic equipment installation and troubleshooting
• Participating in Root Cause Analysis
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Engaging in Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Training new employees
• Performing other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience or related education
• Knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulic systems
• Machinist or metal fabrication experience preferred
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred
• Problem-solving skills within standard procedures
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Maximo)
• Willingness to learn electrical troubleshooting

Physical requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting
• Work at heights using ladders or lifts
• Wear protective gear as required
• Adhere to grooming standards for food safety
• Work in various environmental conditions including hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet
• Work around high-speed machinery and allergens
