Job summary

Responsibilities:

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Perform general interior maintenance such as HVAC/R coil cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning, and kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, cuber, meat saw, slicers, etc.).
• Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and other general maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Be on call for after-hours emergencies.
• Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and recognize and address safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant ordinances, codes, and laws.
• Adhere to policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Document work performance and materials procurement as directed.
• Perform other operational tasks as expected of the Maintenance Mechanic role.

Qualifications:

• Valid state driver’s license.
• Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable.
• At least one (1) year of applicable experience in building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical work.
• Ability to lift at least 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft., and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving required.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screenings.
