Schedule: A Shift, M-F 7am-3:30pm

Job Summary:
Responsible for setup, testing and repair of all types, sizes, and shapes of plastic injection molds and machinery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets blueprints or works from verbal/written instructions or the actual part to be copied or fitted
• Plans the setup and operation of various machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances and machine tool feeds and speeds
• Uses precision measuring and gauging tools, performing required inspections before, during and after machining
• Uses hand tools for modifications
• Fits and assembles mold parts, tools, and dies
• Sets up, runs off and test molds to produce a product meeting specification, tracing die difficulties to their source and making any necessary adjustments
• Works closely with Mold Designers by providing information about potential manufacturing difficulties with new product design
• Strict adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices

Additional Responsibilities:

• When requested, may work on special projects and various related assignments.
• May be required to work in various areas of operations when necessary
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Education, Skills and Experience:

• Completion of formal apprenticeship program, technical school training program.
• Experience with Mastercam/CNC preferred
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate with designers concerning technical ramifications of designs
• Strong attention to detail
• Good math skills.
