Job summary

Jobot is recruiting for a hands-on Maintenance Project Manager in Illinois. The role focuses on leading equipment installs, capital projects, and developing a high-performing maintenance team.

You will manage safety programs, budgeting, and vendor contracts while coordinating preventive maintenance across facilities. With a strong engineering background, you will leverage CMMS (Limble) to maintain records and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; engineering strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated project management experience including equipment installs and capital projects.
• Solid working knowledge of electrical and mechanical processes in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and facility projects from planning through completion, including new equipment installations and system upgrades.
• Implement and review safety policies and standards, ensuring all activities meet or exceed safety protocols.
• Develop a PM program.
• Manage the department budget, prioritizing by urgency and available resources.
• Manage, mentor, train, and supervise team members, including personnel decisions, key metrics, and performance.
• Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for maintenance work.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks and timing with affected teams and other department leadership.
• Maintain records and documentation to all requirements and regulations using a CMMS platform such as Limble.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective changes.
• Ensure timely inspections and upkeep of company property and systems.
• Keep the department, premises, and facilities clean and hygienic, meeting internal and external regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
