Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a CPG Manufacturing Facility near Monmouth, IL. This hands-on leadership role directs a team of 15-16 direct reports to optimize equipment, systems, and infrastructure.

You will drive preventive maintenance programs, minimize downtime, support plant projects, and ensure safety and food quality standards. A significant relocation package is available for candidates needing to relocate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or trade school certification required or preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance management/supervision in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and conveyance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance personnel to ensure efficient daily execution of activities.
• Provide hands-on leadership, working alongside technicians when needed.
• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance program (PM) across cycles.
• Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness through CMMS systems.
• Oversee maintenance, repair and continuous operation of plant equipment and facility systems.
• Coordinate maintenance inventory to ensure availability of critical spare parts and materials.

Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for their CPG Manufacturing Facility near Monmouth IL. The current Maintenance Manager is retiring but will be working with the new Manager for several months to ensure a smooth transition. The Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance department of 15-16 Direct Reports to ensure optimal performance of all equipment, systems, and infrastructure. This role drives preventive maintenance programs, minimizes downtime, supports plant projects, and ensures compliance with safety & food quality standards. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a hands-on approach to supporting plant operations

This job will have the following responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and direct all maintenance personnel to ensure efficient execution of daily activities
• Provide hands-on leadership, working alongside technicians when needed
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) program (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness through CMMS systems
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and continuous operation of all plant equipment and facility systems
• Ensure all equipment meets operational, safety, and food safety standards
• Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders, scheduling, and asset tracking
• Coordinate maintenance inventory to ensure availability of critical spare parts and materials
• Maintain accurate reporting of maintenance activities, including daily summaries
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Support and lead plant improvement and capital projects

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors Degree -or- Trade School Certifications Preferred
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance management / supervision within manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and conveyance systems
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance Programs and CMMS systems
