Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance including preventive and corrective maintenance are required.
• PLC programming experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Starts devices to test their performance.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Programs PLC’s.
• Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.
• Repairs electrical equipment.
• Performs maintenance on production and office areas.
• Performs building upkeep tasks including painting, sanitation, grounds keeping.
• Plans, organizes, and executes construction and demolition projects.
• Follows and ensures good manufacturing practices at all times.
• Follows and adheres to the company’s safety program.
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees; administers performance reviews, addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Prioritizes, schedules, and delegates work assignments; directly supervises the plant staff to meet production objectives at lowest cost while maintaining quality.
• Responds to emergency breakdowns on site or delegates tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
