Job summary

Godshall Recruiting seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead Portage, WI plant maintenance, drive reliability, and develop a high-performing team on the production floor. You will champion preventive and predictive programs, Kaizen initiatives, and asset optimization while coordinating with engineering and operations to meet growth and quality goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar process manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success leading maintenance teams and developing maintenance strategies that improve reliability and uptime.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance planning, reliability programs, and CMMS.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Ability to prioritize resources, manage multiple projects, and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting, CAD software, data historian systems; cgMP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all maintenance operations to maximize equipment uptime and support production goals.
  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs utilizing CMMS and reliability best practices.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance personnel while driving accountability and performance improvement.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts, including Kaizen activities and asset optimization projects.
  • Partner with engineering, production, and business teams to support plant growth and new product initiatives.
  • Develop maintenance strategies for existing and newly installed equipment.
  • Coordinate contractors, project activities, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain plant drawings, equipment records, P&IDs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory, evaluate equipment reliability, and implement long-term improvement plans.

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations, improve asset performance, and develop a high-performing team at their Portage, WI facility. To be a champion in this role, you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within a chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar process manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success leading maintenance teams and developing maintenance strategies that improve reliability and uptime.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance planning, reliability programs, and asset management systems (CMMS).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Ability to prioritize resources, manage multiple projects, and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of process equipment, industrial systems, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting equipment reliability analysis and implementing long-term improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting, data historian systems, CAD software, and cGMP environments will be a huge plus!
  • Excellent communication skills
