Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a Manager, Maintenance to optimize plant equipment availability and maintenance efficiency at the energy center. The role collaborates with Operations and Technical Support to ensure safe, cost-effective performance and compliance with technical specs.

Qualified candidates typically hold a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or have extensive maintenance experience with progression to supervisory roles, including union workforce management.

Qualifications

• A BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred; a high school diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
• Experience leading bargaining unit direct reports is preferred and beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and fossil plant operation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general direction and coordination with Operations and Technical Support for all plant maintenance activities.
• Lead subordinate supervisors by directing work, coaching, and facilitating development.
• Ensure a safe working environment and uphold safety briefings and committees.
• Maintain positive relations with Local 148 and participate in grievance processes as needed.
• Advocate for corporate initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance and policy adherence.
• Lead special projects to improve performance and reduce waste in maintenance processes.
• Assess maintenance workflows to identify weak points and drive improvements.
