Job summary

LSSI is hiring a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance and grounds per HUD health and safety standards. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, with on-call duties as assigned, reporting to the Property Manager and Directors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, or 3–5 years general/residential maintenance experience.
• Trade school or technical training preferred.
• Background check clearance required.
• 3–5 years general/residential maintenance experience preferred.
• Willingness to obtain HUD/OSHA/NSPIRE related training.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have good communication, both verbal and written.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• IL liability insurance coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and may perform routine maintenance, janitorial duties and repair of buildings and grounds.
• Report needs for major repairs, complete specifications, and capital documentation.
• Follow all safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance program.
• Perform on-call services as scheduled and respond to emergencies.
• Provide supervision, training, and evaluation for assigned staff.
• Maintain professional, dignified conduct with clients and colleagues.
