Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Maintenance Manager in Mississippi (Byhalia) to lead a maintenance team, driving safety, efficiency and operational excellence across the site. You will develop maintenance strategies, solve complex challenges and empower technicians to perform at their best.

You will balance preventative planning with real-time problem resolution while coordinating with operations and external contractors to keep MHE running and uptime high. Competitive benefits apply from Day 1.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years Amazon RME FT experience.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
2+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience.
2+ years of CMMS experience.
2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of service technicians and automation engineers.
Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols and procedures during maintenance activities across the site.
Design and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs that enhance operational efficiency.
Manage and coordinate external contractors while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Monitor MHE metrics and partner with applicable team to address system performance issues and provide analysis across all operations.
