Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build and run a total maintenance system across facilities, including preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Lead downtime and root-cause analysis to reduce breakdowns and maintenance cost.
• Administer the asset management / CMMS platform and maintenance part of continuous-improvement systems.
• Conduct gap analysis across facilities and share best practices for consistency site to site.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production on equipment design, purchases, and quality standards; develop suppliers.
• Lead maintenance safety, skill development, apprenticeship, and training, and establish a clear maintenance reporting system.

Movement Search and Delivery is working with a leading manufacturer in Tecumseh, MI to identify and evaluate a Maintenance Manager – with metals experience (welding/stamping).

About the Role:

This is a leadership role built for someone who keeps plants running, people safe, and customers supplied without interruption. You will own the total maintenance system across facilities—preventive programs, repairs, equipment strategy, and cost control—while raising the bar on uptime and reliability. The work sits at the center of operations, engineering, quality, and production, with a clear mandate to share best practices and standardize how maintenance is done. What You Will Do:

• Build and run a total maintenance system, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment modifications that keep plants operating safely and at customer-required performance
• Lead downtime and root-cause analysis, then drive fixes that reduce breakdowns and maintenance cost
• Administer the asset management / CMMS platform, own the maintenance portion of continuous-improvement systems, and provide direction for MRO stores
• Conduct gap analysis across facilities, set equipment standards, and share best practices so maintenance is consistent site to site
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production on equipment design, purchases, and quality standards; develop suppliers and support major plant issues
• Lead maintenance safety, skill development, apprenticeship, and training, and help facilities put a clear maintenance reporting system in place

What You Need to Succeed:

• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience and at least 7 years in manufacturing, preferably automotive
• Strong people leadership—able to direct, coach, and develop maintenance teams
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-changing plant environment
• Solid technical and mechanical aptitude plus working knowledge of CMMS/asset systems and standard office tools (Word, Excel, Project)
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively at every level of the organization
