Job summary

SCHUTZ CONTAINER SYSTEMS INC in Pasadena, TX seeks a Maintenance Manager with 5–10 years of maintenance leadership to oversee a 15–20 person team. You will ensure preventive maintenance, manage parts and labor costs, and stay on-call 24/7.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of 5–10 years maintenance management experience.
• Strong background in electrical program controllers, motors, drives and components.
• Experience with SAP and Preventive Maintenance software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office, SAP and Excel.
• Ability to lead others and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise a maintenance department with 15–20 reports.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on all machines and equipment.
• Be on call 24/7 and willing to work weekends as needed.
• Control labor, cost, and parts to meet budget and uptime goals.
• Train maintenance staff to perform required duties effectively.
• Maintain adequate spare parts inventory for rapid downtime recovery.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and ensure safety policies are followed.

SummaryThe maintenance manager manages a department of 15 to 20 direct reports. Key responsibilities include: Ensure preventative maintenance is being performed on all machines and equipment. Must be robust in ensuring machines and production equipment remains in excellent operating condition and the equipment is capable of performing to the requirements of production demand 24/7. Must have a high sense of urgency and be on call 24/7.
