Job description

Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Safely perform duties in a responsible manner in accordance with company policy, including maintaining general work area cleanliness.
• Ensure a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, supplies, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
• Implement equipment modifications in response to safety, quality concerns, product revisions, and efficiency improvement requests.
• Supervise a team of technicians for a three‑shift operation, continually developing them to consistently achieve performance objectives in a safe work environment.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of all production equipment and plant systems.
• Analyze production data to prioritize corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in hands‑on work as needed.
• Work with HR to assist with interviewing, training, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
• Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
• Work with internal and external partners to ensure seamless integration of automation technologies into existing infrastructure.
• Supervise daily maintenance activities and ensure safe, timely, and high‑quality execution.
• Other duties and projects as required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience in a high‑speed manufacturing environment with exposure to repair and maintenance of manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles, workflow, and operational procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLCs and SAP.
• Proficient in safety, environment, waste (Hazmat), used oil, TPM, and 5S management.
• Strong experience managing capital projects and maintenance‑related automation initiatives.
• Ability to calculate figures using standard mathematical practices (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to various stakeholders.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering).
• OSHA training.
• Certified forklift trainer or completion of forklift training within 180 days of hire.
