Job summary

Martinrea International Inc. in Indiana seeks an energetic Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department and guide staff toward reliable equipment and smooth production.

You will oversee PM schedules, manage downtime analysis, and coordinate with contractors while ensuring safe, compliant operations on site.

Qualifications

  • College courses in Maintenance related discipline; Millwright or Electrical certificate of qualification is preferred.
  • We expect strong communication in Spanish (written and oral).
  • Minimum 8–10 years in maintenance in industry.
  • 3 years at manager level.
  • Experience in welding/stamping facility.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • High level of time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills.
  • Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance related functions and PM program/schedule ensuring machine robustness and coordinating production needs.
  • Ensure equipment/tools are maintained to avoid production interruption and minimize downtime.
  • Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems.
  • Ensure availability of replacement parts for key equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain maintenance related records.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for repairs and upgrades; source effective solutions.
  • Provide input and ensure completion of CI projects.
  • Stand in for Facilities Manager in absence.
  • Plan and control all areas of maintenance including labor, overtime, and travel.

Job Summary: This role provides leadership and direction to the Maintenance department and its staff members.

Responsibilities

    • Ensure all equipments and tools are maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtime
    • Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems
    • Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtime
    • Maintain maintenance related records
    • to co-ordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs and to source the most effective repairs and upgrades cost
    • Provide input and ensure completion of CI projects
    • Able to stand in for Facilities Manager in absence
    • Ensure proper planning and control for all areas of responsibility in Maintenance department (e.g. labour, overtime, equipment, travel, etc).
  • Maintains clear written records
  • Creates and ensures a safe and secure work environment
  • Achieve goals and objectives that are set out each year by the General Manager
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements to throughput, inventory and operational expense.
  • Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
